Founded by Andrea Branzi in 1969, the city is a model of complete freedom. Laid out in equal measure – there is a bath every 100 meters and a computer every 40 – everything is possible everywhere. Sit here, sit there, sit anywhere. There are no restrictions or laws (not even gravity!). You are free to move without imposition or encouragement. Now that you are here, however, you cannot go. The openness of the city is totalizing – there is no outside or end.
Having explored this land for more than 50 years (okay, one semester), we crave something else. Being architects, we have thus built and snuck portals into this doorless space – entries into another, totally opposite world. Find them and discover the architecture of our dreams.
